RivKids

RivKids is our ministry to children from infancy to sixth grade. We have Kids' Church at all services at the Holt Venue. Those service times are 7:00ish on Saturday nights, and 9:30ish and 11:30ish on Sunday mornings.

This weekly event is the primary time when we get together in a larger setting to socialize and worship through music and teaching that is relevant to kid's lives. We run a program for kids three years old through sixth grade. We sing, dance, play, have dramas, play videos . . . anything we can do to help kids grow closer to Christ.

We Need Your Help!

We have our annual Easter Egg Hunt coming up on Saturday, March 27th from 10am - Noon. Here are some areas that we could use some help...

  • We need someone to paint the sign to help advertise (no artistic ability required - literally paint by number)
  • We are looking for donations of bags of candy (individually wrapped) or pennies to put in the eggs.  Candy must be small enough to fit inside the eggs (no suckers).  Look for donation bins in the lobby starting March 6th.
  • We need help stuffing the 10,000 eggs that we have!

The RivKids volunteer of the month is Darlene Richardson.  Darlene works in the sitter/climber room on Saturday night.  She does a phenomenal job getting the 2 and 3 year-olds to sit and listen to their story.  Thanks Darlene for doing a great job!!

If you’re interested in becoming a member and deepening your commitment to the local church, this class will help you understand what Riverview is all about, why we do what we do, and what it means to be a Christian. Childcare and lunch are provided as this class runs from 11:30 am to 2:00ish pm in room 201. 

October's RivKids Volunteer of the Month

Each month RivKids chooses a volunteer to highlight and thank for the great job that they've done.  This month we have two volunteers we would like to thank! Greg Swears and Jonathon Chew teach the 2nd grade class during the 11:30ish am service. If you have never seen them in action, they are amazing. They can get the kids excited about the review questions and activity for the week like no one else. Anyone that peeks into their class can see that they have a passion for those kids. Thanks Greg and Jonathon for doing an amazing job!

New Volunteer Training

RivKids is looking for new volunteers! We need people to help out by becoming Nursery, Pre-School, Elementary, and Large Group Assistants and Mentors. Training is scheduled for Sunday, September 27 from 1:00ish to 2:00ish pm in Room 107. Lunch and free childcare will be provided.
