Meals Team
Prepare and deliver meals to Riverview members who have a need--- due to a new baby, a death in the family, an illness, or other reasons. Contact Marcie at joshandmarciebeckwith@hotmail.com
Holt Food Bank
Stock Shelves at the food bank, fill grocery orders, deliver groceries to clients who have mobility issues. Holt Food Bank hours are: Mon 9-11am, Wed 5-7pm, Fri 4-6pm. You can volunteer once per week, once per month, whatever fits your schedule!
MSU Football/Basketball Games
Currently they have asked us to see if we could work 1 or 2 MSU football games this fall. The job is to keep clean and stock concession tables during the game. 12 people are needed for each game it's about a 6hr job (start 2hr prior to game). Dates they are in need of help are: Sept 6, Sept 13, Sept 20, Oct 4, Oct 18, Nov 1 & Nov 8. They usually need more help later in the season. LAAN also needs people to sort food at the Red Cross Distribution Center. The center is open 7:30 to Noon and 1 to 4:30 Monday through Friday. Training is a 15 minute video and tour of warehouse. If we can commit 10-12 workers for one day a month for 6 months the Lansing Area Aid Network will receive 5 pounds of food for every hour worked. This would be an excellent way to serve. We would like to get a team committed starting in September and they say the light days for workers at the warehouse are Tuesday and Thursday. Compassion Golf Outing is a major source of revenue for our ministry. We are currently trying to recruit 100 golfers for this year’s event which is being held on September 7th this is the 13th Annual Life: Turn Bogies into Birdies At Timber Ridge.
