Musicians Needed for East Lansing VenueThis fall, Riverview is launching a service on campus at Michigan State on Sunday mornings. Teamed up with Epic, this service will rotate two rock bands. We'll be holding auditions for all parts soon. Two specific needs are an experienced drummer and a lead electric guitar player. Email

Shared Pregnancy Baby Steps 5K Run/WalkSaturday, August 16, 2008 at 9:00 am at Riverfront Park, Downtown Lansing. There is a $25 fee. The 5K follows the scenic Riverfront Park path so you can run it, walk it or stroller it while raising money for the center. Shared Pregnancy Women’s Center is a non-profit Christian ministry committed to counseling, education, referrals and material support for women facing unexpected or challenging pregnancies. Divorce Support Group for Women Riverview now offers a support group dedicated to the growth and recovery of women living through the pain and stress of separation and/or divorce. Please contact Linda Lawrence, MSW, LMSW at 517-482-6782 or

Healthy Eating Discussion Group We all know we should be eating more fruits and vegetables, but how do we manage in this fast-paced world? Meijer Community Rewards Program This program allows Riverview to raise funds that are split between church planting and helping to meet peoples' emergency financial needs. All you need to do is
sign-up here with our organization’s 6-digit code (370945). You can also get more info at RivWarehouse in the lobby. There is no cost. You'll receive two plastic Meijer tags that you can put on your key chain. Whenever you buy anything (except gas) at Meijer, and scan your tag, Riverview will get a percentage of the sale (.5% with cash/debit cards, 1.0% with Meijer credit cards). It's easy and only takes a minute to sign up, but it can help Riverview make a huge impact on our community!

Kick-Off Party
Chaos, Riv's junior high school ministry, is kicking off the school year with a GINORMOUS Party on Wednesday, September 3 at 7:00 pm! Epic Chapters (Life Groups)The heart and soul of Epic, our college-age group, and a key way to get connected. Their focus is to connect people to Christ and to incredible community. Ranging from twelve to twenty-four people, they're made up of two to four Life Groups, even smaller groups for building deep friendships and discussing our lives, the Bible and talks at Riv. Try one and allow God to transform your life through genuine relationships!
The Greatest Retreat Ever!This is something that college students really don’t want to miss. A truly life transforming weekend and a great way to build some fast friendships at Epic. It’s September 26-28 at a great retreat center. The cost is just $70, which includes two nights, meals (friday dinner thru sunday breakfast plus snacks). Mexico Trip During MSU Spring Break 2009We’re heading to Monterrey, Mexico to work with Back to Back ministries. (www.backtobackministries.org). We will be working directly with orphanages and some very impoverished communities. Because we’ll need to book flights early, we will be signing up for this in the coming weeks. You’ll be able to raise the cost of this mission trip. Email
